Service Opportunities This Weekend!

We have two service opportunities for your scouts this weekend.  The first one is packaging shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child at KTIS in Roseville.  We have a full slate of volunteers for the second shift, but we need 2 more scouts and parents for our first shift from 9-11am.  This is no longer restricted to the older scouts - any age scout can come and help out.  This tends to be our busier shift as well, so we really need a few extra hands to help out!

Our second opportunity will be at Oneka School at 3:00 pm on Sunday.  A group involved with the Statewide Health Improvement Plan (SHIP) for Washington County planted 30 apple trees at Oneka last spring so that the students would be able to be a part of their own farm to table experience for years to come.  They are in need of some scouts to help  put tree protectors on so that over the winter the deer won't eat the trees.  They are asking for a group of 5-8 scouts and parents to come and help with this project.

If you are interested in helping for either of these opportunities, please email Denise at as soon as possible so that we can pass on that info to the people that will be working these projects.
