Our second opportunity will be at Oneka School at 3:00 pm on Sunday. A group involved with the Statewide Health Improvement Plan (SHIP) for Washington County planted 30 apple trees at Oneka last spring so that the students would be able to be a part of their own farm to table experience for years to come. They are in need of some scouts to help put tree protectors on so that over the winter the deer won't eat the trees. They are asking for a group of 5-8 scouts and parents to come and help with this project.
If you are interested in helping for either of these opportunities, please email Denise at pack9151@gmail.com as soon as possible so that we can pass on that info to the people that will be working these projects. |
