See you Saturday at Historic Fort Snelling!

Overlooking the Mississippi and Minnesota Rivers, Fort Snelling was once the farthest outpost of the U.S. military. See a flintlock smoothbore musket up-close and witness the firing of the 6 pound cannon. BANG! March in close-order drill formations. Hear about slavery in Minnesota, a famous U.S. Supreme Court decision and the Native Americans that lived in the area.

Earn a patch!

Kids will earn a patch by completing activities within the historic fort. They’ll learn about life in the early 1800s and have fun doing it!

Here's a sample of what they'll be working on.

Be Prepared

We will be outside most of the time we're there. Dress appropriately for the weather.

Cub Scouts should wear their "Class A" uniforms.  It's OK if new Cub Scouts don't have their uniforms yet.
