Back to School & Back to Scouts!

Everybody ready for School? Yeah, me neither.

  • This Wednesday at Meet the Teacher, the Pack will run an information table at Hugo Elementary to provide info and answer questions to prospective Cub Scout Families. We are asking for volunteers to help us by spending some time at the table helping to answer questions about what Cub Scouts is all about and how our Pack operates.  Some of our Pack leaders will be on hand to setup the table, but will need some time to meet their own children's teacher that night.  Please try to spare 20-30 minutes and help us out if you are already headed to Hugo Elementary that night or live in the area.  If you can commit some time, please respond to this email. We will only be at Hugo Elementary because that is where the vast majority of our new scouts will be attending.  Adult uniforms are completely optional.  Please help us out at any point between 4:30 and 6:30 that night.
  • New Scout Registration and Orientation night is Tuesday, Sept. 18th at Hugo Elementary from 5-8pm.  Any new Scouts are invited to come to our orientation and registration event on Sept. 18th.  Those of you with incoming siblings will want to be there with your new scouts and your checkbook.  We will get you registered and coordinate your uniform order for you that night and take the new scouts to work on their Bobcat Rank.  Only new scouts are needed that night.  But we can use any leaders we can get to help new Pack families with registration and questions as well as helping with the new Cubs. If you know any families that have a boy interested in scouting, please personally invite them to come and get registered that night.
  • Next Pack Meeting and Fall Fundraising Kickoff is Thursday, Sept. 20th at Oneka Elementary at 6:30pm.  Our Fall Kickoff Pack meeting will be Sept. 20th at Oneka where we will introduce our Leadership team, provide an update on Pack operations, award our new Cubs their Bobcat Ranks and hand out their new uniforms.  We will also be kicking off our Fall Popcorn and Wreath Sales season.  We will also have registration for the Fall Festival day camp as well as take orders for Class B uniforms and Pack Sweatshirts.  Please make sure to join us that night.  Also, remember to set aside some time for that weekend's Popcorn Storefront sales or to hit your neighborhood with door-to door sales.  That first weekend if critical to get our sales started right.

Thanks, all.  Have a great final week of the summer and Labor Day weekend.  We will see you all very soon.
