Archery & Climbing at Base Camp - Many Open Dates

The following is a Northern Star Council outing:

Check out Base Camp’s indoor and outdoor climbing and archery range during one of these open dates! January 13, 17, 27; February: 10, 21; March: 10, 21, 24; April: 14, 18, 28

Open climbs are open to Scouts and the public, and are held 3 times per month. Base Camp does not take reservations for these dates, so some dates can get more crowded than others.

Northern Star Council's Base Camp offers belay training and testing, and ‘Climb on Safely’ training to participants 15 and older from 5-6PM each evening. If you wish to take the belay test please arrive during this time. It’s also a great opportunity for youth to learn more about belay safety and technique. Belay training is REQUIRED if it is your group’s first visit to Open Climbing & Archery.

Open Climb & Archery Requirements: Youth must attend with an adult & someone who can pass the belay test Participants 15 and older may complete a ’belay test’ in order to belay other participants

Times: All Open Sessions are 6-9:00 p.m. with ‘Climb on Safely’ and Belay Testing will be offered from 5-6:00 p.m.

Price: $10 per person (pay at door)\Sign-up: no sign up required or accepted Waivers are collected first time you climb or shoot then kept on file for future visits.
